The George Cross

image of squad passing out of depot The Royal Ulster Constabulary served all the people of Northern Ireland with valour and gallantry from 1922 up until 2001. Contained within these pages we have gathered together the story of the RUC to remember those who served and to pay homage to their service.

Many members of the RUC paid the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives for the safety of the community as a whole, so it is fitting that we remember them here with a tribute to our murdered colleagues.

This site has been provided by the Police Federation for Northern Ireland as a memorial to a great and glorious force.
